Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rehman Malik said major areas of a naval air base in Karachi that were attacked by Al-Qaeeda & Taliban guerrillas have been cleared, with “some pockets”.

About 22  terrorists attacked the base last night with rockets and grenades and waged a gun battle with commandos that the Taliban said was revenge for Osama bin Laden’s killing and thePakistangovernment’s ties with the U.S. Malik spoke to reporters as he entered the complex inPakistan’s biggest city Karachi.

“This attack shows that the terrorists have sympathizers and insiders in the security establishment,” said Talat Masood, a retired army Lieutenant General and security analyst inIslamabad. “This also shows that they have become more powerful and sophisticated in their planning and attacks.”

The insurgents damaged surveillance aircraft provided by the U.S.in the biggest strike against a leading Pakistani military installation since guerrillas attacked the army’s Rawalpindi Headquarters in October 2009. Eleven Pakistani navy personnel and two paramilitary soldiers were killed, Irfan –Ul- Haq, a navy spokesman, said by phone fromIslamabad.

Pakistani Taliban had pledged to attack government and military installations after U.S forces killed al-Qaeda leader bin Laden in a raid in Abbottabad, 30 miles (50 kilometers) north ofIslamabad, on May 2. The American raid exacerbated tensions between the two countries, as the U.S questioned whether Pakistani officials had protected Bin Laden andPakistanprotested the violation  of  its territory.

“Fifteen of our fighters entered the naval air base and we don’t expect them to return,” Ehsanullah Ehsan, a spokesman for the Tehreek-e-Taliban ( Terrorists group of Pakistan known as Sipah-e-Sahabah & Lashker-e-Jhangvi) in Pakistan, said by telephone from an undisclosed location, they are there to kill.

Prof Dr. Syed Akbar Abbas said that why and how these terrorists have entered from three diffrent places. Three gates of entry? who allowed them to enter? He said that our main issue with Punjab Government is very clear, that why you are supporting these terrorists and have teken them in Politics as well as in Ministries. With your support they are united in Punjab and now they are active to fail the present goverment of Peoples Party in Centre ? They are spreaded in Karachi against MQM and have given open hands to kill any one to whom they feel fit to be killed.

These terrorists are the sons of darkness and begotted by Late Gen. Zia-ul-Haque in Pakistan. He produced these sons of wickedness through thousands of illitrate Madrissas those were financially paid and supported by Saudi Arabia said by the chief of this  Institute of Investicative Journalism.

Last night’s attack began with several explosions at the Mehran naval base around 11 p.m., followed by gunfire. Malik said that militants had entered the base through three entrances.

Pakistan’s benchmark Karachi Stock Exchange 100 index, which has risen 23 percent this fiscal year, was unchanged at 11,977.70 at 11:40 a.m. local time. The Pakistani rupee, which has fallen 0.5 percent since July 1, rose 0.3 percent to 85.93 against the dollar.

Two P-3C Orions, a maritime surveillance Aircraft, were targeted and damaged in the attack, Haq said. The U.S handed over the aircraft toPakistannavy in April 2010 and said it will give a total of eight by 2012, according to the U.S. Central Command website.

Pakistan’s Naval Air Unit, including the U.S.-supplied Orion aircraft, has been providing “Air Surveillance” to prevent any sea borne intrusions of al-Qaeda and to detect any terrorist plans for attacks on ships bringing supplies for the NATO forces inAfghanistan,” Raman wrote in an e-mailed analysis.

Trucks carrying soldiers entered the base soon after the attack began. Flames and black smoke rose into the air and dozens of ambulances waited outside the base. “Our troops are proceeding slowly and carefully,” Haq said by phone.

Tensions between U.S and Pakistanhave escalated with American officials saying they were worried thatPakistan’s intelligence agency maintains ties to guerrillas fighting American-led forces inAfghanistan. The U.S military says its war against the Taliban is hindered byPakistan’s failure to shut down militant havens.

Pakistan’s leaders have rejected accusations they are not doing enough to defeat insurgents. The army’s offensives against the local Taliban movement and allied guerrillas have triggered retaliatory bombings and gun battles in cities nationwide that the government says have killed thousands of Pakistani citizens and security personnel.

Twin bombings on May 13 at a Pakistani paramilitary police academy killed 80 people in what the Pakistan Taliban said was in part revenge for the killing of bin Laden and a precursor to attacks against the U.S.

The PNS Mehran Base is 10 kilometers fromKarachi’sQuaid- e-AzamInternationalAirport. It provides all the logistic and administrative support to the aviation unit of thePakistannavy, according to the navy’s website.

On Oct. 10, 2009, the Pakistani military freed 39 hostages after soldiers stormed a building in the army’sRawalpindiheadquarters, ending a 22-hour siege by militants.

Yesterday’s attack comes less than a month after militants attacked navy buses inKarachi, killing four people and injuring 56. Two days later, four navy personnel and one civilian were killed in a bomb attack on a navy bus in the financial capital.

Terrorism expert Peter Bergen reports on CNN International that the Egyptian Saif al-Adel has been appointed as a “caretaker” leader of al-Qaeda, following the death of its emir Osama bin Laden. A Pakistani newspaper article datelined from Rawalpindi, the bustling city near Islamabad that’s home to Pakistan’s army headquarters, corroborates the claim as well, citing unnamed sources.

Bergen sources his claim to Noman Benotman, a Libyan and former Islamist militant who once flirted with al-Qaeda but now works for a “counter-extremism” think tank in London and is an oft-quoted authority on al-Qaeda’s internal leadership. The decision comes as something of a surprise to those who expected bin Laden’s longstanding deputy, Ayman al-Zawahiri, to fill in for the slain leader. Zawahiri will remain the organization’s spiritual patron, says an article in Pakistan’s The News International, and will “monitor international contacts,” but active command and control will be in the younger Egyptian’s hands.

Whatever the murkiness surrounding al-Adel’s interim role, a few things about the former Egyptian Special Forces soldier are clearly known. According to the FBI, he’s wanted in connection with the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings in the capitals of Kenya and Tanzania; the 50-something al-Adel – his full name, meaning “sword of justice,” is a pseudonym – has a bounty of $5 million on his head. (See more on the death of bin Laden.)

He left Egypt shortly after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat in 1981 (a connection to the murder has not been ruled out) and made his way eventually to join the U.S.-backed mujahedin fighting in Afghanistan. Around this time he likely made contact with al-Qaeda and found himself rising up the terrorist organization’s ranks, moving with other key al-Qaeda operatives to Sudan in the 1990s, where he allegedly taught recruits how to handle explosives. Al-Adel’s technical expertise saw him become one of al-Qaeda’s top military commanders and a key figure in bin Laden’s inner sanctum, a position which was reinforced after the death of another prominent Egyptian militant, Mohammed Atef, in 2001.

What he did in the decade following the 9/11 attacks is unclear – some reports suggest he was unhappy with the movement’s impetuous handling of the terrorist attack, which precipitated an American backlash that effectively derailed a number of key al-Qaeda operations that al-Adel had been slowly nurturing over the years. According to the German magazine Der Spiegel, al-Adel and a number of other prominent al-Qaeda members fled the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan and ended up kept in shadowy circumstances under house arrest in Iran.

But it seems by October last year al-Adel was back in the al-Qaeda fold, possibly moving among other militants in Pakistan’s troubled North Waziristan tribal agency. (See pictures of Pakistan beneath the surface.) Al-Adel will have to reckon with the immediate dangers al-Qaeda faces now that the U.S. has recovered a clutch of sensitive information from bin Laden’s Abbottabad residence. He also, says Bergen, will need to collect “baya”, or allegiance, from far flung al-Qaeda affiliates spread from Southeast Asia to Yemen to North Africa.

Baya was a religious oath of allegiance to bin Laden rather than to the organization itself, in the same way that Nazi Party members swore an oath of fealty to Hitler rather than to Nazism.

That baya must now be transferred to whomever the new leader of al Qaeda is going to be, which is likely to be al-Zawahiri, given his long role as bin Laden’s deputy. Still, as Bergen and others note, Zawahiri is not known for his charisma and doesn’t invoke the same sort of spiritual admiration among his followers that bin Laden did. The promotion of the more pragmatic al-Adel, who reportedly has had a fractious relationship at times with Zawahiri, appears to have been made in order to push al-Qaeda in a new direction.

Here’s Der Spiegel writing on al-Adel last year: Australian terrorism expert Leah Farrall, who is writing her doctoral dissertation on al-Qaida’s command structures, told SPIEGEL ONLINE:

”Not only would Saif al-Adel’s return to the field greatly bolster al-Qaida’s operational capability, and bring a rigour to its external operations, but his longstanding connections to groups whose relations with al-Qaida have been subject to tension could herald a new era in operational cooperation for attacks against the West.” And it’s the West, and the U.S. in particular, that al-Adel has in his sights.

This February, five open letters to the Islamic ummah supposedly penned by him surfaced on forums that closely monitor jihadist correspondence. According to a thorough analysis on the Jihadica blog, the last of the five decried the tactic of targeting regimes and countries within the Muslim world that in some way serve the agenda of American “imperialism”: [al-Adel] concludes by appealing to the “youth of the ummah” to focus their jihad on the mule driver and not the mules – to fight the U.S., not its client states. (See pictures of Osama Bin Laden.) Of course, it’s unclear what operational capabilities, if any, al-Qaeda has in its depleted arsenal to harm the U.S.

It may be desperately trying to retool itself, but the terrorist outfit, like al-Adel himself, remains very much on the run.

New tests have found that the DNA of former International Monetary Fund leader Dominique Strauss-Kahn matches material found on the shirt of a Manhattan hotel maid who says he attacked her, two people familiar with the investigation told The Associated Press.

The two people said that the tests were returned Monday afternoon. They were not authorized to speak publicly about the matter and spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity.

They said DNA found on the maid’s shirt matched to a sample of DNA from Strauss-Kahn, once a French presidential contender.

Strauss-Kahn is accused of attacking a 32-year-old housekeeper in his $3,000-a-night hotel suite. The West African immigrant told police he chased her down a hallway in the suite, forced her to perform oral sex and tried to remove her stockings.

The cooperation in the field of space technology that would enable Pakistan to have imaginaries of ground movement in the sensitive areas and enhance its air defense capacity would figure prominently in the course of discussions.

The Chinese are looking into the possibility of cooperation in the field with utmost care due to west and especially the United States reservations about such collaboration. Pakistan is looking for cooperation from the Chinese companies in the space programme which are also working with the Americans and they could face US hostile reaction if they opt to have dealing with Islamabad.

Prime Minister Gilani will be visiting two space research related facilities during his stay in China. He will be visiting a site here near Shanghai today and he will be guest of honor in China Academy of Space Technology (CAST) on Friday morning.

The visit of the premier will attain its full fledge momentum with his arrival in capital Beijing where he will have official talks with his Chinese counterpart Wen Jiabao in Great Hall of the people. The Federal Minister for State,

Ministry of Interior,

Islamabad.

SUBJECT: INVESTIGATVE REPORT ON AN OLD INQUIRY / CHARGE SHEET DATED 01- 4- 2003, AGAINST QAISER MASUD, A D, FIA HEAD QUARTER, ISLAMABAD.

Dear Sir,

Our office has examined the subject case, in detail and found that the said officer MR. Qaiser Masud is under a long time stress due to similar counter charge sheets again and again, which were not justified in the eyes of Law. The relevant officers, who had violated the law / rules and had conducted illegal raid though had not been charged sheet properly or haven’t given any punishment at all. And in fact an officer who had clean service record conducted 26 years of service, has been suffering for the scrutiny of FIA HQ’s letter No 168, dated 21-05-2002 and other relevant documents highlight the following facts.

FACTS OF THIS CASE:

1. The then DG FIA ( Mr. Mohib Asad ) & ADG FIA ( MR. Saeed Alvai ) addressed the said letter No: 168 dated 21-5-02 to then Secretary Interior ( copy annexed ) recommending departmental action against some officials of FIA Passport Cell Rawalpindi ( for illegal raid without Magistrate in case of FIR No 103 /2001 ).

2. Accordingly, charge sheets were issued to them. But after about 11 months, the already processed departmental action was withdrawn, vide FIA’s Admin wing’s letter dated 02-& 11-11-2002. And instead a U-Turn was made and a charge sheet dated 01-04-2003 was issued to Mr Qaiser Masud as a counter blast to above letter No: 168 dated 21-0502002, upon one sided charges of misleading notes. Whereas, Mr. Qaiser Masud AD / FIA had no nexus at all with the such fabricated charges.

3. Before issuing charge sheet dated 01-04-2003 to Mr. Qaiser Masud, he was neither served any explanation nor his boss ( Ex-ADG / FIA ) was ever asked about the facts of this case.

Since the present charge sheets starting from 01-04-2003 similarly are a counterblast to FIA HQ’s letter No 168 dated 21-05-2002, found bad in the eyes of Law & had no justification at all. Therefore, In the light of the above circumstances / findings, it is strongly recommended that the old inquiry against the said officer Mr. Qaiser Masud may kindly be withdrawn in the light of Justice.

With best wishes and kind regards,

For & on behalf of

Post Graduate Institute of Investigative Journalism,

Sikhs protest in India

Sikhs protest in India

The killing of a Sikh allegedly by the Dera chief’s security guard in Mulund sparked major protests by the community in Mumbai. The protests have since spilled over to Punjab, Haryana and Jammu. The Amritsar Shatabdi and the Sachkhand Express was stopped at the Amritsar Railway Station. According to reports, around 150 protesters have blocked the Amritsar-Jalandhar rail line near Walla village. Sikhs also held demonstrations in Haryana demanding action against the Dera chief.

Though the situation has largely been not peaceful, Sikhs have staged large-scale demonstrations in several parts of the country since then. Protesters have repeatedly warned that things will get out of control if no action is taken against the Dera chief.

Indian government have totally failed to stop the innocent killings against minorities like Christian, Sikhs or Muslims. Day by day these kinds of incidents have increased in all over the Indian state.

Professor Dr. Syed Akbar Abbas an internationally recognized scholar of Islam, stated in a special answer question meeting yesterday, that the holy Qur’an did not allow any “Live TV Coverage” of the media nor any Judge can be appointed except the sons of Imam ELI ( JJ ) according to the holy guidance of Qur’an. In his answer Prof Dr. Syed said that the holy Qur’an have clearly mentioned as under:

Qur’an 4: 83.

“When there comes to them some News touching safety or fear, they make it known: if only they had referred it to the Messenger or to him who holds the authority ( Ou’lil-Amr ) among them, the proper investigators, they would have understood it from them ( weather it should be published or not )……….”.

Qur’an 4: 85.

“ Whosoever intercedes for good cause will have the reward thereof, and whosoever intercedes for an evil cause will have a share in his burden….”.

Live TV Coverage of any incident can create social anarchy, frustration and harassment. Therefore, it is not lawful to publish any news either good or bad until you have taken approval from the authorized ones in the state.

The only authorized ones according to the holy guidance of our Lord are those, who have been appointed the representatives of the Lord All- Mighty on this earth, and have been rightfully guided ones / the only authorized Judges for the mankind. Except them no one else can be a Judge because, a sinner has already convicted himself and any convicted one can not be a Judge in the law.

Qur’an 7: 181.

“ And of those whom We have created, there is a community who guides others with Truth and establish Judgments ( being the only Judges )”.

These holy guided ones and true Judges in the Law of Hz: Muhammed ( SAWW ) have been appointed, as the previous Judges were appointed in the law of Moses ( A.S ). And they were the sons of Hz: Haroon ( A.S) only. It is still recorded in Torait at Exodus ( Shema’aut/ Sam’aut / Hearing ) 28 : 38, 41-41, Exodus : 29 : 5, 29, 33 & 44, Exodus 30 : 30 and Leviticus ( Vaqarra / Vaqar’ra / Honored ones ) 21 : 6-8. They were the holy ones for the whole 12 tribes of Hz: Musa ( A.S ), and were authorized to establish Judgments ( being the only Judges).

Moreover, they were the only Priests in the tenure of the previous holy Prophets. No one else was allowed to be a Priest in the place of worship ( the Mosque of the time ) accept them. The sons of Ely (JJ) were authorized similarly, and called holy Priests for the current part of Islam. It was also stated by the holy Prophet Muhammed (SAWW) himself that Imam-e-Ely (JJ) with me is like Hz: Haroon (A.S) with Hz: Musa (A.S).

Holy Qur’an has recorded for these sons of Hz Haroon ( A.S ) as under:

Qur’an 7: 159.

“And of the people of Musa (A.S ) there is a group { sons of Hz: Haroon ( A.S )} who guides others with truth and establish judgments. ( being the only Judges ). Now we can compare this above holy verse of Qur’an 159 above, with the holy verse no 181in below, which is referred for the sons of Imam-e- ELY (JJ) in Qur’an showing the same authority.

Qur’an 7: 181.

“ And of those whom We have created, there is a community who guides others with Truth and establish Judgments ( being the only Judges )”.

Now think upon it, who will be the Judge & a holy Priest within you? You have to decide yourself. The holy Qur’an said:

Qur’an 4 : 79.

“ Whatever of good reaches you, is from Allah. And whatever of evil reaches you is from yourself…….”.
